I have a '86 IROC Z28 that im sellin...It needs minor body work....It has a brand new 350 TPI in it....Would i be able to make more money by parting out the car or by sellin the whole thing???I had someone looking to buy it and they said they would give me 3,000 for it but i traded a '02 Honda 400EX wit about 7,000 invested....Im gonna lose money either way but do u think i could make more money by parting it out.....????Thanks in advance....

It really depends on the shape of the car, if you have pictures of it or not that too would help. You could get some money out of the engine if you where to part the car out, but you can probably get more if you sell the whole car.

 

what kind of body work does it need? if it's just replacing parts, you might be able to find the parts cheap, replace them yourself, and up the value without really upping your costs too much

 

dont part it one mans trash is an other mans treasure. Not to say that your car is trash its just I hate to see cars with potential ripped apart.
