Adding a spoiler to '85 sport coupe
After a fresh paint job and a new headliner, I think my sport coupe is in need of a spoiler. Has anyone added a spoiler to a car that previously didn't have one and have some advice. I searched all over and I couldn't find any topics on adding a spoiler. I was thinking about the high-rise spoiler from the z28's. Also I'd like to know if anyone has an idea of what it would cost to get the spoiler painted and the prep work involved.
Thanks

I had an 88 SC with the shorty spoiler that was converted over to the Z28 style spoiler. I found a car in the junk yard that had the spoiler already removed and made a template of the screw hole locations. I then transferred the information to my car and was able to install the spoiler. Obviously, a body shop was involved because I needed the old spoiler holes filled and then needed a partial paint job. The car looked good when it was finished.

sorry i was out of town for a few days and didn't have a chance to check the board. My car doesn't even have the shorty spoiler on it right now, to tell you the truth i didn't even think you could get one without a spoiler until i bought mine. Also what is a good price to pay for a high rise spoiler? someone offered me one for $200, new gm replacement part. If i do put the new one on i'll take lots of pictures and maybe do an faq or something.
