Beautifying a gutted interior
Ok guys,
I finally think I have what I want. Im going to make my car the ultimate pro-street car. Im stripping all interior, including dash ans headliner. All wires, heater, a/c, all that stuff. Im buying polycarbonate windows, fiberglass hood. Im going to make my own aluminum dash also. It will go to middle, then just go flat against firewall, covering all the ugly holes from heater box. Im getting some cheap lightweight racing seats, 10-point, and fuel cell, so it will all go together. The whole reason I want to do this is because my engine has alot of miles, and I have a blown L98 block on my hands. Im getting the lower-end bored .030 over and stroked to a 383. Then Im getting Holley's Systemax II system, with heads and intake with everything else rated at 420 hp with a stock 350 block and only a 750cfm pumper. Im getting mine bored, stroked, and toping it all off with an 870cfm street avenger. Im figuring its gonna put out about 520-530hp. That is why Im going to gut my interior. What you all think?

yeah its much more fun to customize, and still have it look like a street car. But whatever floats your boat, with 520+hp id be happy with about anything

For what your interior weighs, you sacrifice all possibility of having a comfortable car to cruise in. If all you're ever going to do is trailer it to the track, then fine, but the real impressive cars run 10s then have cold a/c blowing for the drive home.
