Front Passenger Seat Belt Bracket

Does anyone know why I can't get the front passenger seat belt bracket off. It's held on by a torx bolt and doesn't want to come off.

I've recently began restoring a a 92' RS and the entire harness has to be replaced.

Is the torx bolt holding it on to the floor a left handed twist??

Anyone with any previous experience and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

C

It's a regular thread, just need to use the right size torx and a ratchet... I had the same fun with the the back seat ones..
they glued in cause they go through the body..

If the torx is stripped, the use Vise Grips on the outside of the head, regular thread. BTW the torx size is 50, make sure that's the one you're using before you put pressure on it, also keep the ratchet straight and put pressure on it from the top. The main thing I found that helped was to put the bit into the screw and literally tap it in with a hammer bc sometimes they just don't make full contact unless you tap them in. Go slow on those, they are tight all the way up and too easy to strip.
