Name on seat covers

Okay guys, I'm a poor boy no 4th gen leather But what I did get for my iroc were some Blue On Black Flame seat covers. What I want do to them is sew my name into them (Kind of a cursive font custom thing) in either blue or white. I don't really know how to go by doing this and was wondering if anyone here has ever done it or might know how to do it.

If so please post.

Thanks, Jensen

Try to find a local quilting or sewing place. They have fancy machines that will do names in about five minutes. They'd prolly do it cheap because it isn't graphics and will only be one color. If you really want to do it yuorself, see if they'll let you use a a display model that does embroidery. The key word is embroidery Most normal sewing machines don't do letters and graphcs etc.

The next problem is getting it on the machine, dpepending on how thick it is, ya might have a little trouble getting it on the hoop thingie that hodls everything down. This is something you'd want to ask an actual sewer about. A particular machine might have several hold downs meant for thicker or thinner material.

My mom can do it, but that doesn't help

Yep. You will definately need to find somebody with an embroidery machine. Dry cleaners sometimes have them. You can't embroider with a regular sewing machine. It probably wouldn't cost you more than about $20 to have both seat covers done. Matt
