Badge reads "RS" only on heritage ed.?

On the thirdgen.org tech Historical Database, they say "Dash badge on the RS now read `RS' rather than `CAMARO'(Heritage Edition Only)."

I don't understand what they are referring to.

ALL Camaro's in 1992 received the 25th anniversary edition emblem on the dash which read "RS 25th Anniversary Edition" for the RS, or "Z28 25th anniversary edition" for the Z28.

I don't understand why this is stating that the dash bage read "RS" rather than "CAMARO" for the *Heritage Edition only*.

Perhaps I have misunderstood this? Heritage Edition Only should not be mentioned as the dash emblem was the same for ALL models in 1992 no matter whether it were a Z28 Coupe, Z28 Convertible, RS Coupe, RS Convertible, or whether or not any of these were equipped with the "Z03 Heritage Edition Package".

Thanks

I have noticed similar things. When I had my '92 RS, there was no dash plaque inside. Fell off or something.

I went the the Chevy dealership and they asked which one I wanted for the '92 RS. They had one that said "Camaro" as the older ones did, they had on that just said "RS" and on that said "RS 25th Anniversary".

As my car was fully loaded, I opted for the 25th Anniv one. Who knows if it was correct, but it was a '92 RS!

I have seen all three used in '92 RS's. I have no idea why they made 3 in that year, but they sure did.
