There was a post not so long ago about someone putting in Cavalier seats in their thirdgen and I believe they said it required no modifications...so I imagine Sunfire seats would fit as well since its also a J-body...might want to search for Cavalier seats or just new seats in general withing the last 2-3 weeks, just to be safe, but I know I saw the post not so long ago.
Thanks- I did a search on Sunfire seats and didn't find- I didn't know that Cavelier seats and Sunfire seats are the same. If I have to change the seat track, can I use the power track thats in my original seats? Probably have to rig up a switch...

I'm new but I own a sunfire and the seats are not that great for long rides. Or atleast mine aren't. I have just the basic 4 door Sunfire. I am not sure if the sportier models are any better.

i dunno.. i used to drive a sunfire (2 door, 1996) and those seats were surprisingly comfortable. They sure don't look like much, but on those 4+ hour trips, I found myself much more concerned with the lack of power from the disappointing 2.0 than i was with comfort. I have an iffy back, and often have problems, but the sunfire seats left me feeling great.
just my .02... but if they fit, and they're in better shape than your current ones, I say do it!

SC82A-- I saw that post after your first post-Thanks! But it led me to the new question- I have power seat adjuster in my current seat(just driver's side) just the track -forward and back. Has anyone grafted their power tracks onto other seats?
hrddrv & the Steve-these seats are from a sporty-looking two door, I think a '98. They look mighty comfy and a world better than my torn up, spring pokin' stock seats.

update
I took out the pasenger seat this weekend- three easy nuts and one rusted so bad I had to cut it off with a dremel. Swapped the track from the old seat to the new (cleaned and painted it first) and the seat fit perfectly. When both seats were out, I compared the two and they were nearly exactly the same dimensions. Driver's side is a bit more complicated because of the power adjuster. I'll tackle later this week.
Oh- no rust under the carpet on passenger side!
