Took out heatercore w/o removing dash...VERY EASY
well since i'm finally putting my car back together i decided to finally pull my heatercore and replace it
this is a very simple and quick job in my 89 IROC. I thought it would be much harder but it was not
All the bolts you need to remove are 7mm and all are very easy to get too even if you have large hands as do i
All you need is a 1/4" rachet, 7mm socket (deepwell) and both a short extension and a long extension
some of the bolts need both of the extensions together for easier removal, not needed for removal but makes it easier

I did my 86 too with relative ease. But I found that it was easier with the dash pad off, lot of extra light and it helped out a lot. I just redid the interior on my iroc, So I plan on redoing this as well, I didnt spend all that money to **** up new carpet.
