rust....how much to get rid

my 90 camaro rs has been sitting down in west virginia for a few months out in the elements. i just brought it home yesterday and i noticed that my car is REALLY beginning to rust but right now it is all just surface rust. i dont know the first thing about body work so i am going to take it to a body shop. i was wondering how much would i be looking at to get the rust ON (not IN) my wheel wells, at the bottoms of both doors, under my hatch (right above my tail lights), the black strip around my hatch window, and 1 or 2 minor spots on my roof. keep in mind that i do not want these painted because i am going to be getting it painted as soon as i get it back.

im from pittsburgh and i found this shop called zaz lok automotive & performance right across the border in collier wv

so you say to expect $300-400 to get rid of the rust...the reason i dont want them to paint the body work is because as soon as i get it back from the body shop my cousins uncle is going to paint the entire car so i dont want to pay for paint that is going to be painted over within the next week

yeah id guess $3-400 maybe less...just my guess...dont know where that part in wva is...cant you take it to a body shop & just get an estimate on just the rust part? just make sure its a very very replicable(SP?) place & not a fly by nite shop lol good luck with everything!!!

be glad its down south and just surface rust ! could be worse: up notrth snow and salted on and rotting horribly !

stop the rust asap, dont use primer, it wont stop rust moisture goes right on through primer, so.,,,

underbody coat the inner tubs rear and front and along rocker panels under car and under floor pans and batt tray and then youll be fine for a few years, san fof the surface rust and wet sand and sandable primer and wet sand more and more primer and sand again and then paint

good luck
