quick question, bird headlight adjusment. can closed hieght be adjusted?

Hey guys quick question here, im putting my headlights back together after fixing that gear problem. i cant seem to get my left headlight to close right. i have adjusted the screws to space it on the hood right, all the lines are perfect but the lid goes about 1mm lower then the hood. i see a nut to adjust how far up the lid will go but i cant find the (if it exists) nut to adjust how low it will go. i really dont want to pull the assembly out again and was wondering if any of u guys know where and if its there? i just need to keep the lid about 1mm higher. the bolts that hold the assembly in the car are adjusted right.

if u know a quick responce will be apperciated, looks like rain any second.

well im pulling the assembly out. i think i found the nut but theres nothing holding it from moving around, i think maybe it broke and thats whats causing the light to go a little too low. ill return to it once it stops raining.

There are adjustments you can make to the headlight to get it to line up better. Also there are three bolts that secure it. Two up top and one at the bottom which is a PITA to get to.

When the headlight is properly installed it will raise and lower correctly. Unless there is something wrong with the worm gear.

ok i got it. ill write this out for future refrence to help anyone out, as this is a PITA. theres 5 bolts that hold teh assmebly together in the car. 2 of them are on an L bracket thats there to help make adjustments. you only need to remove a total of 4 bolts to take teh assmebly out of the car, as 2 are on the L bracket, u can either take the bolt off the L bracekt that attaches to the car, or the bolt that attaches to the assembly. i recommend taking the bolt off that holds the L bracket to the assembly, not the L bracket to the car. anyway, there are also 2 nuts located inside the assembly, i cant even begin to describe where exactly but look around and you'll find them. they are 10mm and made of white plastic, on the end of a screw. you can move these up or down to adjust the opening/closing depth of the assmebly. One of the 2 adjustment nuts adjust the hieght of the assembly opened, the other is for the height when it is closed. play around with all these variables and you will be able to adjust the headlights perfectly, it does take a while tho. also there is a rubber bumper direclty above the assembly, and one to the left/right of the assmebly, that can adjust how far the hood comes down. this can also be used to line everything up.

i hope this made sense, im a little tired.
