Welding the "seams"
Hey, I read on another site that to help stiffen the body you should weld all the "seams" on the car. Are they talking about the seams that connect the floor pans to the rest of the body?
And is this mod even worth my time? I have the interior stripped and its all clean

If you are going to be putting alot of stress on the car (aka racing) then its a good idea. Since our car is a unibody, it will become stiffer when you weld the seams. But if its just a street car then its probably overkill. I'm getting ready to do this mod to my 89 pretty soon. Like your car, I have it gutted and ready. I plan to focus on the strut towers and interior seams. After doing the seams I plan to weld in a chassis rollcage.
