Water in door

After I washed a newly acquired z I noticed the sound of water when I opened the drivers door up. I pushed it back and forth a couple of times and there is definetly water in there. Anyone no why this happend and how to fix it? The weatherstripping that runs along the window is shot so that could be the problem.

If the belt w'strip is shot, that's the main source of the problem. The second, if it holding water, the drain holes in the door are probably clogged with dirt and debris that has gotten past the w'strip. Eventually this will rot the door from the inside out if it hasn't started already.
