I know for sure the rear is different, and I'm about 99% sure the front is different also.

no problem Why do you want to go with 4th gen carpet though? 3rd gen and 4th gen are probably about the same price in the aftermarket

Bought a 96 T/A to do an LT1 swap and the seats/carpet are gray and my Iroc interior is black. Thinking maybe I could swap them both out but maybe not.

Give it a try, maybe you can modify it to work. Your going to have the old seats out anyway, the only extra thing you have to pull to remove the carpet is the console. It will be a perfect time to get rid of any rust on the floorboards too
