Door weatherstripping

Has anyone used reproduction weatherstripping on their cars? I need to replace my lower door seal and I see for $80 i can get both sides. Softseal makes the seal.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

If you want new weatherstrip, buy SoffSeal. If you want new w'strip that actually fits correctly and you don't have to slam the hell out of the door to shut it, buy OEM.

I put on aftermarket seals and couldn't even close my door. It was wayyy too puffy. Then I bought GM. Much better then the aftermarket stuff. GM may cost 3 times as much, but it fits like a glove.

I'm with the guy's above. GM weather stripping is the way to go, the aftermaerket stuff is JUNK! I ordered a set, tried to install it, and it wouldnt fit worth a CRAP, and one of the bonded joints was all nasty. I sent it back and told them to send me another set, and to make sure it was better. They sent it, and the joint was much better, but it still fit like crap. Returned it, spent 2 or 3x as much on GM weatherstripping, and it fit perfectly, and it even felt like it was higher quality.

I recently installed new aftermarket door seals, which I purchased from http://www.1aautomotive.com

They seemed tight at first, but after I installed them I let the car sit overnight with the doors closed. Now the doors open and close just like they did with the stock door seals. I have no complaints about the aftermarket door seals.
