Vinyl painting interior panels, how to do it?
I've really been wanting to replace my interior panels on my 92 and 90 camaros, both of which have identical interiors, the general red, which I think they call carmine or flame, I can't remember.
Anyways, all the replacement panels that I've seen for sale at like YearOne or Classic Industries come in black and you have to paint them with vinyl paint. This sounds like a very low-rent way of doing it. Is there a certain combination of paints/primers/cleaners/whatever to use to make them look stock?
I'm sure someone has done this, I just need to know how to do it right. Thanks!

I did mine and its real easy. They make a special paint in a spray can that is just for plastics and vinyl. you'll need about 3 or 4 cans of it. Also you will need a can of naptha.
All you do is wipe down all the plastic and vinyl with the Naptha (it will turn them slight white)
Then spray a light coat of the spray paint and let it dry. I put on about 4 coats of the paint and mine turned out fantastic.

Excellent - thanks guys! Do you know what color red I'm talking about though? Its just the generic interior red from the later thirdgen camaros. I need to know which color paint to use from which brand? Thanks!
