How many dents is too many dents?

My stock 84 Trans Am is dotted with at least 20 small dents throughout the body (fenders, doors, and hood). I'd like to say that I'll spare no expense in making this car look like it rolled out of the factory yesterday, but at what point is it more cost effective to replace the fenders/ doors rather than pounding out all the little dents??? I just look at the car and can feel my wallet shrinking.

They're pretty much dings from other people's doors and the like (don't know how the hood managed to get one) but they're pretty small and defined. Let's see if it costs $50 to fix each one that comes to.... $1000......

if they're only noticeable with you TRYING to find them (moving your head to make the light reflect off of it) then i'd say who cares? unless it's a major show-car you'll most likely end up getting some later on anyways...

and as far as the hood goes... the previous owner of the '87 iroc that i own now said something like kids would throw rocks at cars, or something

so either that, or perhaps hail, or even driving on a dirt road could kick up rocks and cause the dents

Unfortunately, they are definitely noticeable- especialy in warping reflections. It's not my daily driver and I am restoring it, so I need to get them out. I hope it won't cost too much.
