Tire Tread
Not sure if this is the right place to put this... but I have a question:
How much tread would you say is left on these tires? Thanks.

lol, Trans_AM_88 - so math savvy.
Well, I did the penny face test on the new tires and I can see face.
But then I went out to my car and performed the same test and guess what - I can see almost ALL of Lincoln on my front tires! So these 'new' tires are better than the front two on my car. The back ones are newer and are no-face.

if you look in the grooves between the treads, you will see little bumps in the rubber. These are about 2/32nds on an inch in height and indicate the lowest that the tread should be worn to. If your treads are worn almost down to the height of these bumps, it's time for new tires. Be sure to check in every tread gap because the tire may be worn more in one area than another. This is a good trick I learned when i worked at a tire shop for a few years :-). you can also pick up a tread gage for really cheap at the counter or most auto parts stores.

looks like u still got a good amount of tread there. a good hint to needing new tires is when u are sliding around in the rain

lol, thanks for the tip 89cmrodriver.
The car's riding fine on the tires I have on her already, 2 of which are worse than the one in the picture in this post, so it's all good.
