I have a 6-point roll cage installed (just doesn't have the extra peices on the mid-section, with no modifications to clear OEM door handles. However, it doesn't interfere much, the door handle gets pushed against the bar about 1/4" deep and leaves an indentation... I'm gonna get ne door handles eventually I guess.

Anyway, I am not positive if this is what they use, but if I were designing a way for them to clear OEM door handles, I would bend the interfering bar at the top end to point at a more downward angle, then use a second peice about two feet down to aim it back at it's original mounting place... it would also be easier to get into the car.

the bar must pass the driver at a specific place to be track legal.

The kind I am talking about have been used before, a buddy of mine has it on his pro street '84 T/A, he says the tracks do frown upon it, but it is still legal. But I do not know the regulations myself, so I am not positive on if it is legal or not.
