interior pictures! finally!

finaly got my electrical problems fixed *whew!* and got the carpet and new seats in!

well, the seats arn't new, they are from a 92 Camaro RS, but they look and feel ALOT better than my old seats.

just ordered a Grant steering wheel (4 spoke challenger series with silver spokes, like the pedals) and I'm probably going to buy all new plastic interior panels, as they look old and beat up next to the new carpet and seats! (they used to look good, compared to the old seats and carpet).

not sure why the carpet looks like it has a reddish tint, must be something about the way I took the pictures. it's all grey, different shades.

after riding around in the metal shell (portable BBQ grill!) I feel like I'm riding in luxury now!

after 7 hours cramped up in the camaro:

Looks great, but where's your radio? I had that grant wheel in my old 85 camaro, and for the money it's a really good wheel.

Gotta love a new interior! Looking good. Before you go spending cash on new interior plastic, try taking them all out and spraying some TurtleWax Formula 2001 on them. Get them soaked and let it set in for an hour or so. Then wipe them down with some paper towels. That spray is the best stuff ever, I swear.

I cleaned up the panels real good, but they are all scratched and scuffed up. previous owners must have used it as a truck or something. the headliner is actualy prettygood, but I'm thinking about replacing that as well, because from the top (with the tops off) you can see quite a bit of damage on it.

does anyone have one of those plastic headliners for a t-top? does it look good? or does it look goofy?

as for driving with out music, everyone asks me that! haha! I just love hearing the engine/exhaust, even on long road trips. thats why I got a cut out! I did get an electric cutout, so it can be closed quickly, I'll put that to use if I ever get a girl friend

What brand carpet is that? The heel pad doesn't look like OEM.

I have no clue what brand it is

It's just a "molded carpet" haha!

They said it was pre cut and pre molded, I can see that it was pre molded (for the trany/driveshaft hump and rear seat humps), but as far as being pre cut, I had to trim it on all sides (front back, left and right).

I can understand them not cutting the holes for the seats, seatbelts and the like, but there was alot of excess on all sides, and not even a hole for the shifter and e-break. But when I cut the jagged whole for them, you can't even see it when you put the console on.

my original carpet (assuming it was original) had a heal pad as well, but I didn't compare it to the new one before I chunked it. didn't really care, it was toar up anyway

haha! my father said the same thing! "do something with those seatbelts!"

It's to late to check tonight, but I assume Hawks or some place has new seat belts? I also need new female ends for the front seatbelts. The plastic part around them going down to the seatbelt bolt is all cracked up.

Does anyone know how to get those seatbelt plastic parts to stay up on the roof headliner? Mine have never stuck up there good at all. do yall just take them off and for get about them? or how do yall get them to stay?

I need a new headliner, and I'm wondering if the plastic headliner from Hawks looks any good? does anyone have one?

Good job. There's nothin quite like standing back and admiring what you did with your own hands rather than paying someone else.
