Hey, I got my 4th gen console in the other day and noticed when the e-brake is engaged that a small metal portion of the mechanism is exposed.

Anybody know how to correct this? The metal piece appears to be a stop for the handle, so I don't want to just cut it off and have my handle sit funny. Will a 4th gen brake handle mechanism directly replace the 3rd gen one? They seem to be pretty cheap on ebay, plus the handle is less square looking.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Well that would be fine if I was still using the 3rd gen assy. but I was going to try a 4th gen e-brake assy. anyone know if it'll bolt right up?
