i didn't like the way i did my switches the other way so i redid the panel. it is modeled after the moroso switch panel.

Do you mind if I ask why you need all those switches?

yeah thats the thing i was thinking about putting in some switches then i realized umm what do you need them for??? Like when are you ever going to want to turn off the water pump while the car is on? seems like overkill putting in switches for some of those things.

LOL

why would you turn off your fuel pump? besides as a kill switch incase something happends.. but that's sort of a weird place to put it

well, you don't run the water pump when you want the car to warm up faster. ie, when your trying to keep the motor a consistant temperature during racing(bracket/index drag racing), a fan switch so that you can cool the motor down when the car is not on. a fuel pump switch cause i am going with a weldon racing pump when i get my fuel injection so i can turn it on and off. overdrive because currently i am running with no computer, and when i do go with the fuel injection, i will be running the commander 950 ECU by holley which has no povisions for TCC. 1 extra switch just in case. i had 5 switches/lights from my rollcage mount moroso switch panel that i was unable to use cause my cage didn't fit quite like i wanted. (i will get that fixed later.) i figured since i had the extra switch/light, i would go ahead and put it in, just in case i do need it later. did that explain why i did what i did?

switches i need:

Line lock
elec cutout
Nitrous arm
fan (for in staging lanes... its nice to have the fan on if you're warm)
RPM limiter selector (one setting for burnout, one for launch, one for regular driving)

i also like to have a big warning light to let me know when somthing is wrong i need to look at... have it set so that it come on only if: oil pressure dropps below a set point, water temp goes over a set point, or fuel pressure goes below a set point (for N20..... and yes id have a auto cutoff installed, but its nice to have a light anyway. )

my only prob is, i dont want to have a bunch of switches showing on my mostly street car.. so i have to hide all mine..... it would be nice to be able to mount them out like that, but when you have a vert, people will reach in and flick random switches...

btw, i cant do it on my vert since it has the later model gauges, but you can mount that tach in the dash, it looks slick and gives more room for gauges under the vents if you want...

i run the American Muscle class with the National Muscle Car Association, and unfortunatly, i cannot touch my existing guage cluster. it has to be in the car untouched inorder to be within the guide lines of the class, other wise, all my guages would be put in the guage cluster area. the only stock guage in my car that works is my fuel level guage.

yes, i still have the cage box, but as you can see, the switches are in the car. give me $20 for it and you pay shipping if you want it.

love the class, my dad and i have been trying to change some of the rules around alittle bit. it's still a pretty new class so there is a lot of tweaking to be done. we have been emailing back and forth with Patrick Budd, trying to get some things changes. so far, i believe we have transbrakes, protree, and N2O allowed in the class. i am going supercharger on my car and i may switch to EFI Eliminator by the beginning of 2005. for 2004 i will be running an N/A carbed motor i guess in American Muscle.

I just have a switch for my cutout.....switches are nice to have though...and they look very impressive....but dumby switches=no no.

Great job with your switch panel....if I had alot of accessories to wire up...that's how I would do it too.

LOL, that's so funny. i work at a coffee shop that rivals Starbucks. It's called the Joshua Cup. i know you were being sarcastic, but i just had to say something about that. anyways, i don't plan on bringing food into the car anymore for that very reason(i am an extremely messy eater!)

ugh... short story.

i was in the fire dpt.... we can use our Cars to respond, IF we have lights...

i had wig wags, a siren and front and rear red lights.... all switches were in the ash tray.

i was eating taco bell after school ( was a senior in HS at the time) and i handed the cup of pepsi to my girl to hold........ as i handed it to her, i had someone turn in front of me and slammed on the brakes.

the pepsi went into the ashtray.... the siren went on and off on and off, i had to pull over and take off the hush panel and disconnect every relay.
