90 - 92 Firebird switch bezel light

Was there an option for a light in this switch bezel? Mine had all three switches but there is a hole that looked like a small light could have been there. Something that shines down on the A/C controls?

Yep, that's for the light that illuminates the HVAC and radio. Should be standard on all models...maybe yours is buried inside the dash somewhere?

For some odd reason none of my 91-2 cars have a light there or no wiring for it.

Weird, pretty sure my 91 had a light in it. I may be mistaken though as it's been a while since I've been in there.

Re: 90 - 92 Firebird switch bezel light

My 89s have a light there but its a different setup altogether. I have noticed a change in the review mirror lighting as well, the early cars had 2 switches an 2 lights. The 90 an up have 1 light on when dash lights are on and another light with switch. I'm thinking the light thats on with dash lights takes the place of the little light above the radio/hvac stuff.
Just a thought tho.

Nothing inside my dash that I know of. It was prewired for the hatch release. I added that. I'll look again. What size bulb does something like that take? It looks much smaller than a 194.
