Is there a way to find out if my car was clear-coated? I don't think it ever was, but I'm really not sure and can't find anyone who can look at it and tell.
Also, where is the best place to get the decals for my car? Some of them are cracked/faded/missing and I want to replace the whole set as cheaply as possible.

hmmmmmm......
Well the easiest way to tell if your car is clear coated is to take a little wax or light polishing compound in a inconspicuiois place, put on a clean rag, ( use a rag different colored than your car ) & polish a small area. If the rag has an area the same color as your car then NO CLEAR. If you polish a while & just get a shiny spot on the car then its probably clear coated. Remember you will have to use a little elbow, but dont overdo it. Remember if it has your paint color on it your removing paint.
As far as your decal I would try this website, they have alot of third gen firebird decals & kits. ( www.autografics.com )
