let me know what you think

well i was tired of the same shift handle everybody has, so i took an extra B&m handle i had laying around and made it work. I had to drill it out, and drill a hole in the side of it and tap it for a set screw to hold it on, but the end result is awsome, i can make a tech article if you want.

yah well, the little yellow thig soon to be painted black is just like a stick, so i pushed the handle down to where it pushes the yellow deal down enough to unlock the shifter. and now im gonna go out and find a set screw to stuff in there. but heres some pics on how i did it.

First i set them next to eachother to see how big i needed the hole

then i drilled just to as deep b&m had it already drilled but i drilled the exact same size so u have to beat it on, the friction holds the "lock" in place

Looks cool.. but no reverse saftey? NHRA tech guys won't like that if they notice.. not to mention I wouldn't dream of going through the gears on that thing with a milligram of adrenaline in my system.

But, as I said.. looks cool..

HERES WHAT THEYRE WIRED TOO : oh, ya know, little things, fan, water pump(when my miezere gets here) overdrive, fuel pump(when i go to an electric fuel pump with my efi), and one left over for something extra.

HERES WHY HE SAYS HE NEEDS THEM : well, you don't run the water pump when you want the car to warm up faster. ie, when your trying to keep the motor a consistant temperature during racing(bracket/index drag racing), a fan switch so that you can cool the motor down when the car is not on. a fuel pump switch cause i am going with a weldon racing pump when i get my fuel injection so i can turn it on and off. overdrive because currently i am running with no computer, and when i do go with the fuel injection, i will be running the commander 950 ECU by holley which has no povisions for TCC. 1 extra switch just in case. i had 5 switches/lights from my rollcage mount moroso switch panel that i was unable to use cause my cage didn't fit quite like i wanted. (i will get that fixed later.) i figured since i had the extra switch/light, i would go ahead and put it in, just in case i do need it later. did that explain why i did what i did?

when i take her to the track i will put the stock one on for inspection atleast, but other than that i just put her in drive most of the time, because i've always been bad at shifting her manually with that shifter so i dont really worry about it. Plus i want to get the megashifter when i get the money.
