floor board thickness?????

hey guys my floor boards are in bits and i just patched them up to last the winter
i just thought of an original idea (i think) i want to make my floor boards out of diamond plate
but the first problem i see is trying to figure out how thick my floor boards are
the second problem would be trying to figure out how to bend the diamond plate but i can always "jimmy rig" that like the rest of my car

im looking for the thickness of fbody floor boards
and looking for opinions on my idea
and no i am not copying triple x

I'm going to guess and say it's just slightly heavier than the 20-18ga body metal and say it's probably 16ga (roughly .062" or 1/16"). I've been fortunate enough to not have to section one yet so I can't truely say. I can only compare it to the thickness of the frame railings under the car which are around 14ga.
