Head Rest removal

I am planing on swapping my seats over because the drivers side is all broke down. In order to do that I need to swap the head rests. Well, I can't figure out how to get them out. Anyone got any tips?

Sure... get a long (12" or so) thin piece of metal or plastic, about 1" wide. Move up the headrest, slide the piece of plastic or what ever your using down the front of the headrest post into the seat as far as it will go. Now, hold the piece to the post, and push the headrest down. Holding the piece down and inplace inside the seat, pull up on the headrest, and out it will come!

Good luck.

put your back on the part you sit on, put your feet on the head rest and kick the biatch outa there. Just make sure that when it coem out you dont kick one side more than the other cause it will hit your leg and cut you. But its easy enough. maybe you can wear some pants and it wont cut you though. this is what i did.

I'd suggest following 88WS6's advice. I got mine out the hard way and it bends a clip pretty bad if you use brute force. Using 88WS6's method nothing gets damaged.

88WS6 has the right approach. I redid my seat covers and that's the method I used to get mine off.....came off easily and in @ 10 seconds....no pain, no agony, no messed up parts
