window slop/missing part
window slop/missing part
My driver's side window has been rattling excessively for a long time. I finally pulled the door panel off to adjust the guides along the top. However, the guide further away from the hinge was already to the max and there is a hole in the window where some white plastic/nylon piece is suppose to go. I don't know what this plastic piece is called or if it still available. I would like to fix this soon as the guide is tearing apart the tint film. Any help where i could get this part will be appreciated.

I think we all will eventually run into the same problem..
Pep Boys sells them in there "help section" I think they are labeled window shims.. The pep boys near me closed before i could get some... Let me know if you find them.

Went to advanced auto parts last nite and they had nothing like it. I tried Pepboys today and they had many nylon fasteners/rivots/bushings but the window type either wasn't in stock or they don't carry it. However I found something called "Magic Sliders" at Home depot in the hardware/coaster section. They are grey disks(teflon?) meant for putting on furniture feet to help them slide. I got the 2 inch size(50 mm) and stuck it on the hole in the window and adjusted the top window adjuster, rolled up the window and no more vibrations.
note that the 2 inch disks may be too big and 1 inch will prolly work

You can sometimes find them at auto glass repair shops. I got one there and picked up several from a local junkyard off windows that had been broken. Just had to drill out the rivet holding them in and then gently pry them apart.
