4thgen fuel guage question

I know that the '93-'96 LT1 guages pretty much just swap in, and the '98+ ones work with the dakota box except the fuel guage. I was wondering if the '97 cluster's fuel guage would work fine hooked up as-is? The tach does since it's from an LT1. Does anyone know? If not, I might swap the dash into my '94, then swap the '94 dash into my '86.

Got another idea...thinking that maybe using an LS1 cluster with a plastic LS1 tank assembly might work? Does anyone have the link to '97 or '98+ wiring schematics? Gotta be something available instead of cutting up the cluster...

I was thinking the same thing, but don't have anythign yet. Another trick would be to use the 3rd gen sending unit for it.
