lower door hinge repair... spring tool??

lower door hinge repair... spring tool??

Yes..I did a search and couldnt find the help I needed...

I have never done a lower bushing replacement on a 3rd gen. but my drivers door needs it!
My question is this... I hear some talk about a spring tool,Im assuming this is for the spring thats over the lower pin??
and do I need the tool to get this done? any help is much appriciated :hail:

I'm surprised your search on this web site turned up nothing. I just did a search on "Door spring tool" and found 32 hits for it. Searching through them you'd have found that I sell the GM door spring tool as TDS p/n 301120. Of course I also sell the upper door hinge repair kit in both the standard non-greasable and greasable versions. Both kits include the lower hinge pin & bushings , but you can purchase that separatly as well. I also sell a handy E-Z Store door alignment tool to align the door after you're done with the repair.
