body..exterior question?
hi.......im getting a nice 91 z28 but it has a dent in the driver side rear and im wondering if i could repair that by myself with some auto cement type filler and also whatever tools needed.....its a decent size dent right past the gas tank lid and just above the side skirt.......what should i do...but if its best since i dont know to much about body work should i take it to maaco.......yes i know your wondering why maaco well im assuming its cheap and i want a 1 2 3 job and minor dent work done to it.....so the best advise from anyone would be great! thank you! love that 87 iroc!

HELL ****IN NO!!!!!! Dont even try it, i will come to where ever you are and smack the **** outta you. I hate when people bring in their cars to my shop that they try to fix with "bondo type filler"
As soon as i remove the bondo chunks the size of Texas its a ****ing nightmare underneath. Dont even try it, take it to a shop and pay people who know what the **** is going on with body work. That is, if you lov eyour car, otherwise, butcher on my man.

DA sander, depending on how bad the damage is, the worse the corser the paper, dont go any more then a 100, finish it off with any fine putty as a filler if small and bondo if bigger, then prime after sanding with 220 and then sand te primer with 320, proceed to paint.

I get mad when i get "i trid to fix it but i ****ed up jobs"
I have to pull out the grinder with the 6 inch grindin disk and knock that **** down all the way to the metal, which is usually a complete ****in mess. Makes way to much work and dust, i ****ing despise people who try **** they cant do.
Thats like me tryin to put in a set of 3:73 gears with a rusty nail, you need proper tools and knowledge. Thats why i flip on people.

Bondo is not that bad of a thing, as long as its used properly and in moderation. You want the thinnest amount of bondo you can for the dent. But, it can be very easy to use too much or not get it even or something like that. But as long as its used properly its ok.
