Alright, my idea of something to my next project will be home made seat covers. I'm not going to do some bad job. If you saw my post on my fur headliner seen here you'll notice that even for the smallest job I put maximum craftsmanship into them. My question is what kind of fabrics would be good for seat covers. I dont want to be cheap, I want good looking shiznats.




There is pic of my current interior styling. What colors would be great for them seat covers? I was thinking black and Silver/Aluminum. What about you? What type of materials should I use?

I do know how to sow very good with very nice strait lines even with the machine, so this will be very nice.

i personally hate seat covers, the seem to scream junk to me, like the person would rather just cover up the problems than buy a new seat, or have it fixed at a upholstary (sp?) place. Is there anything wrong with your seats?

 

no i'm not making seat covers, i want to make replacement ractory seat covers, the ones that go around the foar under the actall matierial. Like the ones you buy at hawks, i'm gona make my own.

 

oh. Well dont make them out of fur! For the time and money ull waste doing that u should go find a nice set of seats.

 

i like keeping my pride and saying, yeah i made those seats. Instead of yeah, i went and got those seats in a junkyard for $100. Not as impressive to me as making them yourself.


They wont be out of fur, but it will be out of swaid. I want swaid becuase it will keep some of the properties of the fur and will be complementing each other.
