a deer hit me

I was driving home from my girlfriends house around midnight, cruzing down some country road when BOOM! a deer ran into the side of my car, slid across my hood and took off. So much for my absolutly straight, dent free 82 Z28.

Dont take that crap from Bambi! Find him and eat him, thats the only choice you have! He will be the only one sporting blue paint flakes and a slight limp I am sure.

Ouch that sucks. But better it be your front fender hood and some of the nose than a rear quarter panel.

You Need...

If you are going to be driving those backroads in the early morning or at dusk you need to go ahead and install a set of deer whistles... THEY DO WORK! but they only work above 35mph. I had a friend with an 87 TA saw a deer ahead running down the side of the road. He started slowing down and when he passed the deer he was at about 20mph or less. The dang deer veered to the right and really messed up his drivers side door pretty bad... At that speed the deer whistles did not work!

My deer whistle is a Remingto 870 assualt shot gun, they never hear the whistle though! Mount some hide away machine guns that rotate and your deer problem is solved!

Sorry for your accident. Should be a fairly easy fix.

And, guys, enough with the "Kill Bambi" talk. Let's keep it tech related or this thread will be closed.

I had a vegitarian that worked at the company where I work. She was a sales rep and quite outspoken. She would occasionally get on her soapbox about eating red meat.

I was in her office with several other people. I was working on the computer and being pretty quiet and not really in the discussion - some of us have to work for a living...

After she had gotten pretty loud and empahatic about whatever her point was about the evils of eating meat I piped in and said:

Liz, if the good lord had not intended us to eat animals he would not have made them so tasty.

I hit a deer two years ago about this time with my truck. After that I put deer whistles on everything I own...

did you ask the deer if he had change for a buck??

It doesn't look to hard to fix, may even get hammered out.
