To paint or not to paint?

I've pretty much decided on a burnt copper/orange color for my '87 IROC w/91-92 GFX...

To paint the headlight buckets black, or not.... that is the question.

I've seen both, personally I'm partial to painted black, rather than body color. Anyone got pics of both on a new or fairly new or even aftermarket color?

if it's a true iroc/z body paint them black otherwise stick with the right color code.

personally i like the stock flat black myself. gloss detracts from a good color too much.

Here's a pic of mine with body colored headlight pockets. Many people have told me they think I should paint them black, but I have had just as many tell me to leave it like it is.

I suppose it all comes down to personal preference along with the overall look you are trying to achieve. I chose mine to be body color because I was looking to make it as clean and uncluttered as possible. As a result, I also painted all door handles, painted the front grill, removed door molding, installed clear side markers, etc.
