Removing Automatic Overdrive Label plate

Removing Automatic Overdrive Label plate
Has anyone removed the Automatic overdrive label plate from the auto shift ash tray plate without damaging it? I want to change it over to a used auto shift plate I found on ebay that is in better shape than mine except that the lettering is worn off.
