yeah the interior is doeskin, and its nasty! when i got the car there were all kinds of parts and bolts laying in the cargo area, back seats, and even the front. so yeah after paint i will be giving the car a new interior... im gonna go w/ drak gray. i already have new door panels, 4th gen. seats, and all the plastic. just gotta get carpet and ill be set!

my dad's camaro's interior is solid black, mines doeskin. at first it looked wierd, but the offsetting light brown and black grew on me pretty good! Any chance u got good interior pieces u'd wanna part w/ after the dark grey swap? When u said nasty, did u mean nasty dirty or nasty "who the hell would put this color in here?"

don't worry, mine could use some work too

well, the carpet if def. trash, the seats are dirty and could be recovered, but you prolly wouldnt wanna fool w/ that. the only interior parts that are worth fooling w/ are the plastic panels, and even some of those the color is faded and flaking. so yeah pretty much, "who the hell would put this color in here?" but some parts can be used, i guess it just depends on what cha need.

basically lookin for the cargo area plastic trim pieces. My cargo area carpet feels like sandpaper and the trim pieces are faded/scratched pretty good.

My dad still "plans" on fixing up his car or otherwise I'd have a black interior in perfect shape in mine.

I'll try to post some pics of mine after i get home from school, gotta find some batteries first, stupid cheapo digital camera.

Looks like it had EXACTLY the same paint scheme as my '83 when you got it. First time I've seen another car with that paint scheme. Looks like its coming along nicely too.

I think I have some "RS" GFX labels laying around here somewhere.

Check that, just found 'em. They go from dark grey at the top to light grey at the bottom if you need them.

Jim.

still waiting on my body man to squeeze me into his schedule. so no updates yet, except ive started savin up for the TT II's. i think zr1's look great on the 3rd gens, and thats really the only wheel i wanna run. but i dont want somethin like this to happen again, so i guess on with the TT II's. i just wonder if my car will look good w/ sunset orange, and those shiney TT II's? i love the zr1's just because they are that painted silver, and nothing too "bling bling" what do yall think?

Torque Thrust II's look good on ANY kind of car to me....I think they would look good on yours as well. But..I'm really likin the ZR1's you have. If I were to get a different set of wheels...I'd go for the ZR1's, they are very tasteful & fit the stle of that car. But..I love my TTII's too...

OK, I know this is old news but I am experiencing the same situation. I bought my ROC and the hood doesn't line up. The front clip (from underneath) looks like someone just slapped it on with whatever was laying around. I have been told that the car has been in a wreck and to have the frame streightened or sell the car. Heartbreaker. I haven't been to the shop to check the frame. Have huge plans for my car but haven't acted on them mostly because of the idea there is something huge wrong with the frame. I figure that I would have noticed something by the way it drives, but it drives fine. Also I have "been told" that there is bondo in the body. Personally I can't tell. If this is a project car for me, does it really matter? A little wisdom would greatly be appreciated.

David

what he meant was normally maaco is cheap crap. and it will cost more to strip it down and repaint it again than it would to just paint it the right way the first time.

I finally changed the whole interior out to gray on that car, threw in a cd player, all new weather striping, and put a bow tie style grill on it (it wasnt on in these pics). But I got it done and decided i wanted a 4th gen car so I bought one. Heres a pic of how im rolling now.... 01 Z-28, dark blue, A4, eibach pro kit, chrome z06 wheels, full exhaust: LT headers, y-pipe, no cats, corsa catback exhaust, fast toys ram air, and the cars been tuned. Car layed down 345rwhp and 360rwtq. Car was bone stock when I got it with only 12,000k on it. Heres a pic though...
