Need opinion's for new paint job.

My GTA is in the process of being painted. It was originally white and I'm sticking with the same color but One of my buddys that runs a body shop has some diff. color pearl dust that he can add to the clear.
I was thinking some gold mixed with the clear and then some plain clear over it.
He has the dust stuff in red, blue, copper and gold.
I thought the gold thing would go along good with the gold GTA wheels, gold on the emblems, etc.
I just want my car to stand out from the other white GTA's/Turbo TA's out there, without changing the color.Has anyone ever done this before? The car is being painted with Chromabase/Clear if that helps and I plan on shooting it Saturday.

Do it.

When the sunlight hits your car its going to bring the gold dusting out and with nice clean gold snowflake rims that will look AWESOME.

Yea man I did the same thign with my car when I sprayed it, I didnt feel like taking all the time to change the color from white so I put some red and orange flakes in the paint itself and then added sunset red pearl to the first couple coats of clear and then covered it with 2 more wet coats of clear. The only thing u have to be careful of when spraying the pearl is that you have a perfect overlap pattern and it's easier to walk the whole car when spraying it to get the proper effect or some panels will change more than others. One of these days I'll finaly get some pics of my car up....

I finally shot the car last night. Shooting the gold perl was easier than I expected. I've got to get it put back together, windshield installed,Lots of Cleaning, etc. I'll post pics as soon as I get it done. I'm kinda curious to see how it looks out in the sunlight.
Its been raining here for the last couple of days and the shop lights need improvement.
