alright guys i bought a new motor for my rear hatch installed it and it goes up no doubt about that but will not go down so i am thinking a relay or somthing else let me know i just bought the car and the motor was missing on mine but everything was there this is a 91 z28 and it is the metal one not the plastic one let me know of ideas on what you guys think it is because i am spent and can't think of any ideas on what it could be

 

hey if you have not got the problem fixed yet, im sure there is a micro switch inside the latch that will make the motor suck down, or maybe there is a linkage missing it been a while since i have really looked at mine but you can get a good veiw of the latch and pull down mechanism in a service manual or at your local gm dealer. if all is good then you will have to look over the wireing and check for power to the switch inside the latch mechinism. well good luck.
