Window Motor
Im completely lost. Bought a new window motor for the passenger side and got the door panel off (which I think I did wrong, the top part didnt come off) and it said to drill the rivets holding the control arm out. I get that done and it looks like the old motor is riveted into the control arm, and I have NO idea how to handle the spring. Please help if you can!

we took and drilled a hole directly trough the two arms that make somewhat of an x and put a bolt and nut on it to keep it up. There is a good amount of pressure on it and we almost found out the hard way but managed to get a punch into it before it went stupid. Take your time it gets frustrating but once you get it going its not that big of a hassle.

Irocbirdbuilder is correct, if the arms on the regulator do not already have holes in them to insert a holdback bolt. You will have to make some in them. I was fortunate with mine that they already had holes in them. The fun was in getting the spring compressed enough to line the holes up and put the bolt in. You can use short 3/16" bolts or screws to put the motor back on the regultor arms and you might have to enlarge the mount holes in the regulator with a 3/16" drill bit. Good luck
