climate controls

i have a problem with my HVAC controls. it will only blow out of the defrost vents. i read the tech article but it wasn't any help. it makes a hissing noise when anything other than off is selected. i need pictures of where things are and what they look like. thanks.

Umm . . . Most all cars make that hissing sound when you select a different setting. Altough im not 100% sure but if the controls are vacuum operated (like some cars) then you may have a vacuum leak.

If they aren't t hen your blend/mix door may be stuck. And to fix that requires puuling down the passanger side under part of the dash and looking around.

Hope this helps,

Sean

it hisses NON-STOP. it will do it until returned to off or the car is turned off. once the car is turned off it will remain doing it for about 20-30 seconds.
