Front Windshield Replacement
Will a front windshield from an 84 Z28 fit an 87 Z28? Im pretty sure it will work but just wanted to double check. Also, how hard is it to take them out and replace them? What do you have to do? The 87 Z has a big crack and I have one from an 84 that I could put in there. Thanks.

Yes, they are the same. All 3rd gen windshields are the same, along with the door and hatch glass. Personally, I would let the pro's do the windshield. Shop around for a good deal. I dont know the companies where you live but round here I know it didnt cost much for a replacement. Plus, with you already having a windshield, I would think that might cost less. Just shop around.

I would let the pros do it, its very hard to get one out, then get it back into the window without breaking it, and then you have to be sure it doesnt leak...plus if you get into a accident and your insurance figures it out, they might get a little mad....most of the pros can get a new windshield, and get it installed for around 200 dollars.
