bumper cover repair
i just acquired an 82 Berlinetta that has some front end damage. myself and a friend were taking off the front end and the fenders last night and noticed that the front cover has some warpage to it. the car took a shot in the front and it tweaked the crash bumper and the honeycomb. it also bent the mounts a little where the crash bumper bolts to the frame. i have no idea how long the car sat with the front end like this. so the cover has a bulge in front of the passenger side headlights, and the three slots in the middle are distorted. it has no cracks or splits. my question is, can the bumper cover be reshaped? or is it a lost cause? i had no idea there was such a huge aftermarket for 3rd gen parts! so would it be just easier and maybe even cheaper to buy a new one? I have been looking in wrecking yards for months, and have not came across one decent enough to use. now i am hooked on this car
and have more plans for it in the future. thanks in advance for any inputs

Personally I would buy a new one.
I have heard that you can heat it up with a heat gun(big hair dryer) and it will re shape, but don't know. If you are putting a good pant job on the car buy a new one, check ebay.
