The only thing that confuses me about this new supposed GTA is that there are signs that it is a GTA but then certain things make me question it. He said his buddy beat the snot outta it but i think they put aftermarket stuff on it, My GTA i Had was a real one, Y84 proof and if this other one is a GTA i can take my engine and tranny and all my other GTA things and dress this one back up. i ran a VIN search and it came back PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM GTA so i guess it is, but still very questionable.

Wow man that looks like my cousins firebird after a drunk driver hit him, almost killed him to. I think f-body's hold up in crashes, then allot of other sports cars in its price range. One of my best friends died last year in his beamer when two other ricers were racing and pop over the hill and hit him head on. Be thankfull that you lived , cars are fun and horsepower is great just remember that you in a 3600 pound sled. When people loose the fear of there car or bike for that matter that's when its going to come back and bite them in the azz!. This is for all the 17 year old punks out there that have daddy's car and want to go fry the tires in it . Use some common sense !!!!. Way I look at it is if you want to die I personally buy you a handgun. Just don't hurt innocent people that's just not cool.

sorry got little off the topic . Just seeing that car brings back some unwanted memories. Sorry about your car man

kinda off topic too but this year christmas, 3 of my friends were racing and the guy cut my friend off and he drove into a building at 95 miles an hour after flipping over a curb.

i think u should build up ur motor. a lot off ppl after they get into a crash, take out the motor and build it up.

Ya know, 3.1EyeCandy would've rebuilt that

Glad you're still alive. Keep us updated with progress of the new one. I never get anything done on my car so I live vicariously through others.

EDIT: Hey, doesn't the new one have fender vents??? GTA's didn't have fender vents. I see what you mean wondering if it's a real GTA or not.

well vin checks out that it is one, but i think those arent the fenders were the orignal ones, and theres a regular Trans Am pouch(GTA source page says it varys), i still have my GTA one, and he doesnt have the upper console that has the f bird flashlight and map light and pocket. I still have mine and its perfect. so if this truly is a GTA then i will take the time to dress it up...if not its only 300 bucks lol, and many notice that it has a formula hood, the owner said his buddy drove it under a semi and messed up the fenders and hood, so that might call for the other fenders. Rims are black and i was under the impression that GTA's only came with gold. Again i think that the car and the shiznit beat outta it, but interior dash has no cracks and are in great shape funny huh.

I'd definitely fix that car-- it's already had its run-in with a semi, so you should be good now that that's out of the way.

You guys are hilarious. I don't think that one is rebuildable though...ouch. Frame damage is one thing - but that thing doesn't even roll anymore.

If you're unsure it's a GTA - goto www.gtasourcepage.com and look at their verification section. That'll tell you what to look for.

But if anybody is wondering where that "3.1EyeCandy would've rebuilt that" comment came from...checkout my cardomain site in my sig. There's a reason she's called the phoenix.

actually it still rolls, lol it was rolling in circles coming off the tow truck, every few inches they had to jack the back end up and roll it over to straighten it out, so the driver front wheel is the only one that doesnt roll

i checked the source page and the rpo sticker from this car isnt there.

Damage, you're just up the road from me that car looks better than my IROC did last year when it got totalled, and now I have my GTA (which is better than that IROC was anyway).
I am currently looking for a front right fender for mine, when I was up at cophers last fall they didnt have hardly any 3rd gen stuff.

from the hit , it kinda bowed the right fender up a bit , but im not sure if its fixable , it might be. it even twisted the right rear quarter panel. but i just not sure if it can really be fixed.

Damn dude. You know what they say, if you're going to do it, do it right, but damn! I'm just glad you're ok. And I'm also glad you haven't lost your passion for these cars. Good luck with the new project bro.

If the back seats are in good shape, I'll gladly take them of your hands. Can you e-mail me pics to gmendoza@ci.glendale.ca.us Can you also include a close up pic of the fabric?
