How do you remove the leather shifter boot? I cant get the shifter **** off to remove the boot. Is the **** pressed on or threaded? Any ideas?

If it's like the older cars, it will be a screw on. Just very tightly on there.

It should be like pretty much every other manual transmission, and just unscrew. Grab a good hold of the ****, and try to unscrew it. I've heard of people using lock-tite on the threads, so it doesnt come loose from power shifting :P

some dont screw off some just pop off...pull really hard and see..i dont think u will break it and they are not too hard to yank off, so if it doesnt yank off it has to screw off if it doesnt screw off it has to be pulled off...unless im un-aware of another way
