Velour door panels?

i want to buy black door panels and i found a guy sellin brand new stuff on e-bay, he said there is a choice of leather, vynl, and velour. Isn't velour that really soft stuff that the black kids wear clothes made out of? does anyone have any interior stuff made out of this? i would like to see pictures and hear what you think, im not totally certain about him having leather in other colors but i def want either black leather or black velour.

That's kind of an ignorant comment...but yes that is velour...the same stuff that 70's/80's track suits were made of. Same material that so many people are wearing now a days. I don't think there is a girl on my campus that doesn't own a low rise velour suit.

Look in pretty much any 80's luxury vehicle and you will see velour. Oldsmobile, Caddillac, Buick, etc... They all used velour on pretty much everything during the 80's. My friends old 86 Cutlass had all velour inside. It looks and feels pretty much just like velvet. One note though, if you smoke, it burns *really* easily.

Ward is right on the money. 70's luxo-barges were usually equipped with velour. I'd use something else if it were me.
