How do you remove the nut shaped center of the center cap?

You don't. At that point, get the S10 wheels that have a flat center cap.

So they are fixed in there that they can't come off? Oh well I'll just tape them off.I'm painting my wheels red, same color as my car, except for the nut part of the center cap and the ring edge of the wheels.

You could cut it out from the inside... its on piece of plastic with a sheet of aluminum around it... but taping it would be alot easier if your just painting

Yeah I just ended up taping it.I thought someone might know of a way, that it was easy to take out the center part than taping it off..save time.:lala:
