Paint Crisis!!!!! Somebody Help!!!

So i untucked my camaro this afternoon.... AND LOOK!!!!!!!! metal shavings which came from my brother's mustang resto are embeded in the paint, and rusting!!!! The Paint was perfect.

How can I save my car!!!

What are the metal shavings from? Grinding, cutting, welding? That stinks, repair depends on how deep they are. Otherwise fix it by having your bro cut a check to the paint shop

Sounds like another ford vs chevy thing... I'd "accidently" spill some soda on his paint.

In all seriousness... I think you'd have to sand it out of the paint and then polish.

I had a bunch of taconite dust embedded in my paint, and most, if not all of it (including the rust looking stuff) came out with a claybar. Granted it didn't look quite as bad as yours, but it's worth a shot, and is alot less work intensive than sanding. Good luck!

the picture is kinda decieving. alot of that is the metallic flake in my paint. but i'll try the claybar and keep you guys posted

This may be a dumb idea but can you get them out using a strong magnet, then sand and polish? Seems like you would just scratch the **** out of the paint if you tried to sand or buff them out.
