how can i get rid of these dings..?

on the roof and hood of my car there are many very little dings. looks like something a whole bunch of acorn would do if they dropped on the car from the empire state building. they are only noticeable close up and i dont think any ding remover can remove these small dings. they not like a "point" ding they are very light and only seen when i wash my car and they REALLY REALLY agravate me. how can i fix/removes these? i do plan on repainting my car also and want to get rid of them for the new paint.

as much as i would like to weld in a new perfect roof...i am no welder and it would cost a lot most likely. def not a fan of body filler but if thats my last resort then ill go for it. would priming then sanding a few times fill in the dings?

Don't be afraid of body fillers. Used properly it's a very good way of smoothing out a panel. Too many people don't use it properly and it's gotten a bad rep. Probably get away with using glazecoat, it's thinner than the regular "bondo". Or if you want, a high build primer and sand the living daylights out of it.
