Front Bumper Problem
I had my Firebird repainted and I fitted the front bumper at the weekend. It sticks out a little where the bumper meets the fender. There was a dent on the fender before I had the car repainted and I did not notice this problem. Is there anything that can be done with it. I have heard if it is heated it can be pushed in. I don't know how true this is. If I heat it then I risk melting or cracking the paint. But it looks crap the way it is.
Any help appreciated

There should be a matal clip that runs down the bumper cover there and that is what keeps the shape. It is sandwiched betweeen the cover and fender. IF there isnt one there then check the other side for one. My camaro has them on each side. the cover may also have been torn in this area and it seperated from the bracket.

yes there should be a metal piece like stated above. heat is the only way to mold that back into shape if the metal fastener doesnt work

Thanks for getting back to me guys. The metal clip is there and there is no tear on the bumper. I would say it got a bang at some stage and this must have deformed it. I think I will have to heat it. How much heat needs to be applied. Would a hair drier do it okay?. I am afriad to over heat in case I crack the paint.
Thanks
Thanks
