Fiberglass Cowl Hood
OK, I know the question about fiberglass hoods comes up a lot but after searching on the boards I know I now want a 2" or 3" fiberglass cowl hood. Any suggestions on which company to get the hood from (ASCD, Glasstek, or Cervini's)?

i really like my glasstek. honestly i'd say glasstek(unfinished underside) or cervini's (typically finished underside) is the way to go.
mine's a 4incher if you wanna check out my website.

Yeah, I checked out your website, xpndbl3. I really like the 4" cowl on your car but I think it would look a little too tall on my car. Was there anything wrong with your hood when you got it or was it fine? I have heard that a lot of hoods need work to fit right.

I like my 2 1/2in glasstek. It fits well and didn't need a whole lot of prep work. Check my website for pics if you want to see what it looks like. I would probably go with glasstek or Cervini, they seem to be the best quality in my opinion.

That's a nice hood, too. Who makes that hood? I like that hood but I don't think it would work on a Camaro. I have always thought that Camaro were more boxed and angled and Firebirds were more smooth and curvy (not always, though).

You can find it at www.usbody.com I think they look great on the firebird/transams.

I'm perfectly happy with the Harwood 2 1/2". No real prep needed, just bolted right on. I do get a little flutter from the left front corner at speed..but I'm not sure any of the others would be any different. And the smooth underside is perfect for airbrushing a nice graphic...which will probably happen this summer.
