Door Panel Cutting And Replacing Question!

HI!

i have a 3rdgen camaro (duh) and on both doors the lower half is all dented and focked up.

Now lucky enough i have these 2 doors that are straight as my girlfriends a$$.
but they have no powerwindows.

heres my plan:

i want to cut out the lower halfs and replace them with te lower halfs of the straight doors.
is there anything inside the doors that is connected to anything(electronicparts or the window rails, or whatever)?

the welding will be under that strip on the doors, so it wont be visual.

thanks for any help guys.

-a dutch 3rdgen lover-

ok first off i believe you are talking about the outside door skin or the whole bottom of the door? If you are talking about the outside door skin, to the best of my knowledge there is nothing connected to it. If you are talking about the whole bottom half of the door there should be the window motor and rails and stuff connected with pop rivets or something. You can always take your inside door panel off and look to make sure.

Just move the power windows to the new doors, no welding nothing. Much be the easiest way doing it, should only take you a couple of ourse per door.

cutting and welding will be quicker as. You have to undo the doors and all the window stuff and locks and stuff and switch it over to the other door and stuff but if you know body work it will take maybe an hour or so plus painting per door to do that work

It's either or, I would move all the parts over and skip the welding bit as after welding it will rust easier and I'm better with mechanics than welding / painting :-)

Good luck.
